Editorial Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This Editorial Policy explains how BoardAlert (https://boardalert.in) chooses topics, collects information, writes posts, checks facts and corrects mistakes. Readers make real decisions from our posts, such as applying for a job, paying an exam fee or planning admission, so accuracy matters more to us than speed.

Our purpose

BoardAlert exists to give students and job seekers in India clear, accurate and easy to read information about government jobs, admit cards, results, scholarships, yojana and admissions, with special attention to Bihar Board (BSEB) news. Every post is written to help the reader take the right next step, not to attract clicks with exaggerated headlines.

Where our information comes from

We use the following sources, in this order of priority:

  1. Official notifications and websites of boards, commissions, departments, universities and government portals.
  2. Official press notes, circulars and gazette notices published by the relevant authority.
  3. Reputable news reports that quote an official notice, used only when the official page is not yet available or is hard to read. We say clearly when a detail is taken from a report and not from the official page.

We do not treat social media rumours, unnamed sources, screenshots without a source or messages forwarded on messaging apps as a basis for a post.

How we write

  • We write in our own words and in plain language. We do not copy posts from other websites.
  • Each post starts with the most important facts and then explains the details in short sections and tables.
  • We give the direct official link wherever one exists, so that readers can verify the information themselves.
  • We keep headlines honest. A headline describes what the post actually contains.
  • We avoid promises such as guaranteed selection, guaranteed marks or guaranteed benefits.

How we check facts

  • We compare dates, fees, vacancy numbers, age limits and eligibility with the official notice before publishing.
  • We separate what is official from what is expected. A date that has not been announced is described as expected or not announced, never as confirmed.
  • When two sources disagree, we follow the official source and, where useful, tell the reader about the difference.
  • We re-read each post for numbers and names before it goes live.

Updates and corrections

Dates and rules in this field change often. Each post shows a last updated date. When a department extends a deadline, reschedules an exam or changes a rule, we update the post and change that date. If a post is no longer relevant, we mark it clearly or remove it.

If you find an error, please write to us through the contact page with the link of the post and the correct information if you have it. We check the claim against the official source and correct confirmed mistakes as soon as we can.

Independence and advertising

  • Our coverage is decided by what is useful to readers, not by advertisers.
  • We do not accept payment to publish a post, to promote a coaching institute or to rank a service above another.
  • We do not publish posts that offer jobs, admissions or results in return for money.
  • BoardAlert may show advertisements, including Google AdSense. Ads are labelled as advertisements and kept apart from our content. We never ask readers to click an ad.
  • If a post ever includes a sponsored or affiliate link, it will be clearly marked.

What we do not publish

  • Fake or unconfirmed exam dates, results, leaked question papers or cut-off figures presented as fact.
  • Content that tells readers to pay an agent for a form, admit card, marksheet or job.
  • Personal data of students or candidates.
  • Copied text, images or documents that belong to someone else without permission.
  • Hateful, misleading or harmful content.

Types of posts

  • Job notifications: vacancies, eligibility, age limit, fee, selection process, important dates and how to apply.
  • Admit card posts: release news, exam date, download steps and exam day instructions.
  • Result posts: result date, how to check, cut-off, merit list and next steps.
  • Scholarship and yojana posts: who can apply, benefits, documents and the application process.
  • Admission posts: dates, eligibility, fee and the process for schools, colleges and universities.
  • Guides: longer explainers, such as exam pattern, passing marks or what to do after Class 10 and Class 12.

Limits of our information

BoardAlert is an independent website and not a government body. Our posts are for guidance. Please read the official notification and use the official website before you apply, pay a fee or make a decision. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.
