Bihar Board 2027: Latest Update on Exam Form, Date Sheet and Admit Card

The 2026 cycle is complete and the board has already moved to the 2027 annual examinations. This is where things stand today.

  • Registration: the registration and permission process for Matric and Intermediate 2027 ran through August and September 2026, with extensions and a special window for students who missed the first deadlines.
  • Exam form: after earlier extensions, the board reopened the exam form for both classes with a late fee from 16 October to 31 October 2026. The form is filled online by the head of your school or college, so students must contact their institution.
  • Portals: Matric forms go through exam.biharboardonline.org and Intermediate forms through intermediate.biharboardonline.com.
  • Dummy registration card: for Matric 2027 the board said that students who do not upload the signed dummy registration card cannot submit the exam form or receive an admit card.
  • Date sheet: not released yet. Last year the board published it on 29 November 2025, and reports this year point to November again.
  • Exams: the theory exams are expected in February 2027 and the practical exams in January 2027. Treat these as expectations until the official routine is out.

If you have not yet confirmed that your form was submitted, ask your school this week. Also check your dummy registration card carefully: the spelling of your name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, photo, signature and subjects. Mistakes caught now are easy to fix. Mistakes caught after the admit card is printed can cost you time.

Sent-up exam: before the board exam, schools hold the sent-up (pre-board) exam. Reports note that appearing in it is needed to become eligible for the board exam, so never skip it.

Bihar Board 10th exam date 2027

The board has not released the Class 10 exam date for 2027. In 2026 the Matric exam came after the Intermediate exam and ended on 25 February. We will update this page as soon as the official routine is published.

Bihar Board 12th Exam Date 2026 (Inter Routine for Science, Arts and Commerce)

The Intermediate annual exam 2026 was held from 2 to 13 February 2026 for Science, Commerce, Arts and vocational streams, in the same two shifts. The practical exams were held from 10 to 20 January 2026. Around 13 lakh students appeared at 1,762 centres across the state.

5 February 2026 Physics (morning)

  • 3 February: Political Science and Foundation Course (afternoon)
  • 5 February: Geography and Business Studies (afternoon)
  • 9 February: History and Agriculture (afternoon)
  • 10 February: Psychology and Entrepreneurship (afternoon)
  • 11 February: Music (morning) and Home Science (afternoon)

This is a sample of the published routine, not the full list. The complete stream wise routine is on the official BSEB website.

Bihar Board 12th exam date 2027

The Intermediate exam date for 2027 has not been announced. Based on the 2026 schedule the exam is expected in the first half of February 2027, but that is only an expectation. Check back here after the board releases its date sheet.

Bihar Board Admit Card 2026: 10th and 12th Dummy and Final Admit Card

Many students search for the ‘Bihar Board 10th admit card download link’ or the ’12th admit card PDF’ and end up on unofficial pages. The key point is that BSEB issues admit cards through schools and colleges. Students normally cannot download the final admit card on their own. The head of the institution logs in on the board portal, downloads it and hands it over.

How the admit card process worked for the 2026 exams

  1. Dummy admit card: released on 22 November 2025 for Matric and Inter. Schools downloaded it so that students could check every detail. A correction window followed. For the second Inter dummy card it ran from 28 November to 4 December 2025.
  2. Final Matric admit card: issued on 6 January 2026 on the board’s secondary portal, exam.biharboardonline.org.
  3. Final Inter admit card: issued in mid January 2026 on intermediate.biharboardonline.com, with 1 February reported as the last date for schools to download it.
  4. Inter practical admit card: released on 27 December 2025 through the same school login.
  5. Distribution: the school head signs and stamps each card before giving it to the student.

What is printed on the admit card

  • Student name, roll code and roll number
  • Subjects with subject codes
  • Exam dates, days and timings
  • Exam centre details
  • Exam day guidelines and important instructions

Check these things the day you receive it

  • Your name, father’s name and date of birth are spelled correctly.
  • The photo and signature are clear and match you.
  • Every subject and date matches the routine.
  • The school signature and stamp are present.

If anything is wrong, tell your school immediately so that it can be corrected through the board. Do not wait for the exam day. Keep two photocopies of the admit card and write down your roll code and roll number, because you need both to check the result later.

If your school has not given you the admit card

Meet the principal and ask them to check the board portal. You should never have to pay an agent or a website for a hall ticket. Anyone who offers to ‘download your admit card for a fee’ is not an official channel.

Bihar Board admit card 2027 (expected)

The sequence is likely to repeat: a dummy admit card after the exam form window closes, a short correction period, and then the final admit card in early January 2027 before the practical exams. These dates are expected from the 2026 pattern and are not official yet.

The board rewards the top ten rank holders in Matric with cash prizes of up to Rs 1 lakh, along with laptops and Kindle e-readers, and the prize money was reported to be double last year’s amount.

How to check the Bihar Board result online

  1. Open the official BSEB website, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, or the result link announced by the board on result day.
  2. Click on the Secondary (Matric) or Intermediate annual examination result link.
  3. Enter your roll code and roll number. The Inter result also asks for a captcha.
  4. Submit, then download and print the provisional marksheet.

Reports also mention DigiLocker and the UMANG app as ways to get the result. On result day the board activates several links because of heavy traffic, so use only the portal named in the board’s own announcement and avoid look alike websites.

Bihar Board 10th and 12th Result 2027 (Expected)

Many students already search for ‘Bihar Board 10th result 2027′ and ’12th result 2027 date’. No result date can be official before the exams are held, so here is what the 2026 pattern tells us.

  • The Inter result 2026 came on 23 March and the Matric result on 29 March, within about five weeks of the exams ending.
  • If the 2027 exams are held in February as expected, the results are likely to arrive in the last part of March 2027.
  • The board usually announces the date on its official social media pages and website a day or two before the result.

This is an expectation, not an official date. Keep your admit card safe, because the roll code and roll number on it are the only details you need on result day.

A note on ‘Sarkari Result’ style websites: they are private information sites, not the board. They can help you find the news quickly, but the final marksheet always comes from the official BSEB portal.

Bihar Board Passing Marks, Divisions and Exam Pattern

Passing marks

  • Class 10 (Matric): 30 percent in each subject, which is 30 marks out of 100, and at least 150 marks out of 500 in total. Students also need the minimum marks in practical or internal assessment where a subject has it.
  • Class 12 (Inter): at least 30 percent in the theory paper of each subject and at least 40 percent in practicals, as reported for the 2026 exam.

A few websites quote 33 percent. Because reports differ, treat the official BSEB notice as the final word for your year.

Matric divisions

Division Marks out of 500 Percentage
First 300 and above 60% and above
Second 225 to 299 45% to 59.8%
Third 150 to 224 30% to 44.8%

Exam pattern

  • Half of every paper is objective (multiple choice) and half is subjective. Objective answers are marked on a separate OMR sheet.
  • The subjective half has short answer and long answer questions. In Inter papers the subjective questions carry 2 marks and 5 marks.
  • Each shift runs from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM or 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, which includes a 15 minute cool off period at the start.
  • Class 10 has five compulsory subjects of 100 marks each, so the total is 500, plus an optional subject.

The 50:50 pattern means objective practice matters as much as written answers. A student who scores well on the OMR half has a strong base before even opening the subjective section.

Bihar Board Scrutiny, Compartment and Special Exam

Answer sheet scrutiny

If you are not happy with your marks in one or more subjects, you can apply for scrutiny of the answer sheet within a short window after the result. For Matric 2026 the window was 1 to 7 April and the fee was reported as Rs 120 per subject. The Inter scrutiny window also opened in April. Apply on the same day the window opens, because deadlines are short and rarely long enough to wait.

Compartment exam

The compartment exam is a second chance for students who failed in one or two subjects. You appear only in the failed subjects and your result is declared in the same year, so you do not lose an academic session.

Special exam

The special exam is meant for students who were absent in one or two subjects, or whose exam form was not submitted because of an error at the school level. Special exam candidates can appear for all subjects.

What happened in 2026

  • Applications for the Matric special and compartment exams: 1 to 7 April 2026
  • Matric practical exams: 29 and 30 April 2026
  • Matric theory exams: from 2 May 2026
  • Over 1.14 lakh students were expected: about 52,390 for Inter and 62,273 for Matric
  • The Inter compartment and special exam result was declared on 23 May 2026
  • The board set a target to declare Matric special and compartment results by 31 May 2026

A similar timeline is likely after the 2027 results, with forms in April and exams in May 2027. This is expected, not official.

Marksheet and Certificate After the Result

The online result is a provisional marksheet. The original marksheet and certificate are collected from your school or as directed by the board. Keep several photocopies and a digital scan, because you will need them for Class 11 or college admission, scholarships and job applications. If your name, date of birth or parents’ names are wrong on any document, inform your school the same week with supporting proof so that the correction request can be sent to the board.

Bihar Board 10th and 12th Preparation Tips for the 2027 Exam

If you are in Class 10 or Class 12 this year, the exams are only a few months away. Syllabus and model papers are published by the board, and questions mainly follow the Bihar Board textbooks along with NCERT. Use the plan below.

A simple three phase study plan

  1. Now to November: finish the full syllabus once. Mark topics you find hard.
  2. December and January: prepare for the sent-up exam and the practicals. Revise each chapter and solve its questions.
  3. Last 30 days: solve full model papers and previous year papers in exam time, then revise only your short notes.

Tips for Class 10 students

  • Read the textbook line by line. Many objective questions come straight from the text.
  • Practise OMR marking every week. Answer the questions you are sure about first and return to doubtful ones.
  • Give the most time to Mathematics and Science, and revise Social Science with maps, dates and timelines.
  • Write subjective answers in short points with a clear heading. Draw neat labelled diagrams in Science.
  • Show every step in Mathematics, because marks are given for the method.
  • Practise formats for letters, applications and essays in Hindi and English.
  • Do not ignore practical and internal marks. They are among the easiest marks to earn.

Tips for Class 12 students

  • Physics: solve numericals daily and learn derivations with their diagrams.
  • Chemistry: keep a notebook of reactions, formulas and the periodic table, and revise it every week.
  • Biology: learn terms and labelled diagrams, then practise writing them from memory.
  • Mathematics: practise chapter wise and time yourself.
  • Arts: write answers with examples, dates and names so that they stand out.
  • Commerce: practise Accountancy problems regularly and keep the formats ready.

Habits that help every student

  • Sleep properly, especially in the last two weeks.
  • Use the 15 minute cool off time to read the whole paper and plan your order of answers.
  • Check your roll code, roll number, centre address and reporting time one day before each paper.

After the Bihar Board Result: Admission, Scholarship and Yojana

After Class 10

  • Choose a Class 11 stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) based on your interest and marks, not only on what friends choose.
  • Consider polytechnic, ITI and diploma courses if you want to start a skilled career earlier.
  • Keep your marksheet, caste, income and residence certificates ready for admission and scholarship forms. See our Admission updates.

After Class 12

  • Apply for graduation in Arts, Science or Commerce, or for a professional course.
  • Entrance exams such as JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET UG have their own forms and dates, so follow their official notices.
  • Many government recruitments ask for 10th or 12th pass. Follow Latest Jobs for new notifications and Admit Card and Result updates for exams you have applied for.

Scholarship and yojana for Bihar students

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana supports girls at several stages of education. As reported, unmarried girls who pass the Intermediate exam receive a one time Rs 25,000, and girls who complete graduation receive Rs 50,000. In July 2026 the state released Rs 700 crore for girls who passed the Intermediate exam in 2026. Applications are made on the Medhasoft portal. Rules, dates and documents can change, so read the official notice before you apply. We publish details in our Scholarship and Yojana sections.

Beware of Fake Bihar Board News

  • Do not trust a date that is not on the BSEB website or in a board notice. Fake result dates spread quickly before every result.
  • Nobody can change your marks, pass you or issue an admit card for money.
  • Do not enter your roll number or personal details on websites that look like the board portal but have a different address.
  • Never share OTPs or bank details for a ‘result’ or ‘scholarship’ service.
